	A century and a half of the Athens Bridge. The bridge exhibit explored the lengthy history of the Athens bridge. From its beginning as a wooden toll bridge, to its tranformation in 1914 by the Athens Bridge Company (formerly the Kellogg and Maurice Bridge Company) into a metal bridge. The failure of that bridge two years later, and subsequent replacement has had a direct impact on the current bridge replacement project, expected to open in the summer of 2006.
